Flinders Island Wind Turbine

Flinders Island Renewable Energy Pty Ltd contracted Strata to conduct a preliminary geotechnical assessment of areas underlying a proposed wind turbine in a remote area of Bass Strait. Strata used light aircraft and man-portable machinery to characterise geotechnical conditions and conduct sampling for laboratory analysis and made recommendations which informed engineering design of the turbine foundations.
